It’s set to become the world’s first airport to power all its electricity needs from solar energy. ☀️
With the construction of a 199.32-megawatt solar power plant in Eskişehir, featuring 439,000 PV panels across approximately 3 million square meters, Istanbul Airport aims to generate 340 million kilowatt-hours annually. ⚡️
This initiative underscores the airport’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. Congratulations to İGA Istanbul Airport for leading the way towards a greener future! ♻️
